1. Using the service
By creating an account or using GetSearchablePDF, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What we provide
GetSearchablePDF converts scanned PDFs and images into searchable PDFs using OCR. OCR quality depends on the source file, and we do not guarantee perfect results.
3. Accounts and billing
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login details secure. We may suspend accounts used in abusive, fraudulent, or unlawful ways.
Paid plans and page limits are described on the pricing page. Subscription charges are processed by Stripe. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and cancellation applies at the end of the current billing period.
4. Your files
You keep ownership of your files. You must have the right to upload and process anything you send to the service.
Uploaded files and generated outputs are stored temporarily so processing and download can work, then deleted automatically after a short retention period.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload unlawful content or files you do not have permission to process
- Attack, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service
- Use the service in ways that violate applicable law
6. Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free OCR output.
To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
7. Changes and contact
We may update these terms by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
